Jammy Filled Corn Muffins
I made these during the blizzard we had a few weeks ago and for some reason just haven't gotten around to sharing them yet and now I'm thinking that they would make an excellent addition to a Valentine's Day breakfast. There's the red factor, which of course is a must for any Valentine's celebration. And then there are the little subtle hints from certain people I know and love, like "I really think you should make these muffins for Valentine's Day" that somehow make me think that these would be very welcome come Sunday morning. Ha! So looks like Jammy Filled Corn Muffins are on the menu at my house and I can't wait! Though I do love all of the muffins I've already posted, these may just be my new favorite!
Easy Chocolate Raspberry Truffles
Chances are that come this Sunday, unless you have incredible willpower or a strange aversion (and then I just can't relate to you, sorry!) you will be ingesting some sort of chocolate. And even if for some reason you aren't eating it yourself, you'll probably be buying it for someone you love, spending far too much money on something you can easily make yourself. Yes, that's right--I said easily. What chocolate shops and candy makers don't want you to know is that you can turn these out in your kitchen in just a matter of minutes, and a little chilling time. Plus, you'll earn major points with your loved one due to the homemade factor. See, I'm always looking out for you guys!!
Sauteed Chicken Cutlets with White White Pan Sauce, Grapes and Almonds
When I think about celebrating Valentine's Day my mind immediately goes to chocolate and dessert but hey, we still have to eat, at the very least, to balance out a massive sugar rush!! So in the spirit of romantic food, I offer up this very chic dish of sauteed thin-slice chicken cutlets with a white wine sauce in which grapes have been slightly cooked, garnished with sliced almonds. It'll make your loved one love you even more and you'll love it because it's a snap to prepare! And only you have to know that of course!!
Double Chocolate Cherry Muffins
This year one of my sisters gave me a gift for her birthday when she asked if her present could be a once-a-month-for-a-year goodie baked by me! Not sure who will come out the winner here--sure, she and her family will get to enjoy 12 different treats but I'll get the fun and challenge of baking 12 brand new desserts! These double chocolate cherry muffins are the first in the installment and they were a huge hit! If you like the combination of chocolate and cherry, you're going to love them!
Easy Chocolate Truffles
If you love chocolate as much as I do, you MUST make these today!! I don't mean to sound bossy but these are so easy and so fun to put together and taste so divine too, that you may never find it necessary to go into a fancy chocolate shop again--okay, maybe I'm getting carried away here, when you're at the mall and it's right in front of your face, you gotta do what you gotta do, but suffice it to say that you can make stellar truffles right in the comfort of your own home!!
