A Few Ideas for Labor Day Celebrations-2018
Happy Almost Labor Day!! Like usual, the summer has flown by and here we are again, ready to start another season (I know it's still officially summer for a few more weeks, but everyone knows that Labor Day = end of summer, although with the heat wave we've been having around here, it's kind of hard not to feel like it's the middle of July!). Do you have any big plans for the weekend? We'll be traveling a bit for some hockey (of course) but still hope to make it back in time to do some late-summer celebrating with family and friends. In my mind, Labor Day shindigs are kind of that last hurrah to the summer, you know, bbq's, picnics, beach lunches etc. and need to be easy and unfussy, so with that in mind, I've put together a list of some of my past favorites here on the site. There are Appetizers, Main dishes, Sides and naturally, plenty of Desserts! Whatever your plans are, have a delicious, fun and safe holiday weekend and I'll be back next week with some terrific new seasonal dishes as we all head back to school and the regular routine once again! Yikes!
